Here is a nice example of railway timepiece from the early part of the 20th century. It is a Hamilton 992 Pocket watch with serial number 769309, dating it to 1910. Hamilton was a powerhouse in the industry, and this is a super attractive piece at 114yrs old!
I always say, "Hamilton is the Cadillac of American watches."
The bright, double sunk porcelain dial, sub seconds dial & blued steel hands just speak volumes of styling from a by gone era...all protected by a new clear shatterproof crystal.
The 48mm Oresilver case is in fantastic shape, ultrasonically cleaned and buffed to a high sheen.....just an awesome Hamilton.
A new 10'' chain has been attached for safety. USE A CHAIN, trust me.
I have completely overhauled the 21 jewel movement, and it is running stronger than ever. I completely disassembled it...and when I say that I mean the mainspring removed from the barrel, new one installed, cap jewels removed, hairspring & balance cleaned...all of my pieces are done this way. It was lubed with fine Swiss synthetic oils & greases. They all receive the works as they should.
