Here is a nice example of timepiece from "The Roaring 20's", a 1925 Elgin pocket watch. This item is in very nice condition and sure to be an eye catcher that is creeping up on 100yrs old!
The silvered dial, large sub-seconds dial & blued steel hands just speak volumes of class and style from a by gone era. All protected by a high polished shatterproof crystal.
The heavily nickeled case has been ultrasonically cleaned & hand buffed to a clean satin finish. Also, a new 10'' chain is attached for safety ... PLEASE use a chain. One hard drop kills these beauties, cracking the jewels & breaking the balance staff....best to use a chain.
The Elgin 345, 17 jewel movement has been totally rebuilt and is running stronger than ever. I completely disassembled it...and when I say that I mean the mainspring removed from the barrel, cap jewels removed, hairspring & balance cleaned...all of my pieces are done this way. It was lubed with fine Swiss synthetic oils & greases. They all receive the works as they should.
