**The burns on the dial finish is seen often with these largely filled radium hands. When the radium was new it would glow bright but would damage the finish over time... 80yrs later and safe to wear.**
This piece was produced sometime in the 1940's to very early '50's. Its spartan design is no doubt military inspired.
The WW2 military style case measures 32mm across with a heavy nickel plate. The deep threaded stainless screw back/gasket was used for their military watches to help with water resistance. The original filled hands really stand out against the tropic dial, and all protected by a new high polished crystal.
Attached is brand new durable NATO sport strap. I use the same one on a few of mine, very comfortable.
The 17 Jewel, shock protected, Swiss movement has been overhauled. I completely tore it down, cleaned and rebuilt it using high grade Swiss synthetic oils & greases. Doesn't get much better!
Measures: 32mm across minus the winding crown.
