**A little back story on these watch movements. These are so well made that they were used to instruct students at the school I attended. The machining is so precise and clean that I actually rate them in the realm of many Omegas I've worked on.**
Here is a nice example of a Swiss timepiece from the late 1960's to 1970's. It is a Bailey Banks & Biddle watch, Swiss made, and an attractive piece at that!
'BBB' was a retailer of jewelry and designer of US medals that was formed in Philadelphia, PA, in 1832.(Wikipedia)
The bright ivory dial with its bold black roman numerals & jet-black hands are very easy to read, and all is protected by the original low-profile crystal.
The crown is pressed down to open the case. Be sure to press back down when closing. DO NOT SNAP you hunter cased watches shut, it wears out the lip that the latch catches.
A new 10'' gold plated chain is attached to keep it safe.
The Swiss 17 jewel shock protected movement has been completely rebuilt and is running stronger than ever. I completely disassembled it...and when I say that I mean the mainspring removed & replaced from the barrel, cap jewels removed, hairspring & balance cleaned...all of my pieces are done this way. It was lubed with fine Swiss synthetic oils & greases. They all receive the works as they should.
