**I wish I could find a model name on the stunner. It is an uncommon manual wind '23', usually and automatic. The case is stamped '62, and the movement stamped '59. I believe they were trying to get rid of old stock movements because they were transitioning to the future, the Accutron**
What a gorgeous and clean example of a mans wristwatch from c.1962. It was made by the Bulova Watch Co. and is very attractive on the wrist.
The 'sunburst' case design itself is pretty slick, measuring 36mm to the lug tips and 26mm wide minus the signed 'BULOVA' crown. This beauty has the deep luster of thick 10kt gold plate.
The gorgeous ivory dial, golden hands & markers are protected by the original curved crystal. Fresh crystal cement holds it in place after the full ultrasonic cleaning.
A new 16mm leather strap has been attached. I chose the stitched pattern as it seemed to compliment the case design. These are comfortable straps and I use on my own personal pieces ... durable too!
The Bulova 10BP movement has 23 jewels and is in tip-top shape. Amazing the power coming from it, almost like new! I have completely redone it...cleaned, oiled, & timed. It can be worn with confidence as it is a great timekeeper.
